Customer Reviews
Attraction my F3!My trouble and I both got these F3 phones, and we love them. They are everything we ever wanted in a phone - voice calls and small texting with awesome durability and battery life.
Note that we did NOT buy these phones from Amazon - we found them cheaper elsewhere ($15 each asset shipping), so we did not have any of the issues many have reported in the 1-star reviews. Make certain you buy from a reputable source.
The phone has lots of quirky limitations, and you have to be artistic to use an address book that can only display six text characters at a time, singularly if you are using a SIM card from a more advanced phone.
My only complaint is that I couldn't form out a way to edit existing address book entries. The only thing you can do is cancel an entry and create a new one, which is a pain if you want to edit lots of contacts. I had to cut out them on my old phone to be six-character-friendly, then move the SIM card to my F3. This is the only reason I didn't give the phone 5 stars.
Blanket I'm just so delighted to have the cheapest and simplest new phone possible. I'm not paying for a camera, mp3 Thespian, web browser, fancy screen, or video player, and I plan to clerk the "free" phones we got from T-Mobile to someone who actually wants those features.
Primary phone, looks good, not for txt'ing
I like the slim take the measure of and shape of this phone and it has been durable. It works well as a phone (sound superiority, battery life). However, it has a very limited interface and some annoying aspects, such as beeping when you inadvertently press it against things, which happens all the time. There appears to be no setting to express off that feature or to lock the keypad. It does not store the number of missed calls reliably or intuitively. It's interface is otherwise lyrical intuitive, but also very limited. Can't beat it for this price if you need an unlocked GSM phone.
Ideal for those who just want a basic, no-frills cell phone.
I'm over 50, exertion hard for an honest living, drive a Jeep Wrangler and I use the few remaining tools in life that simply WORK. The Motorola F3 is one of them. Like a Jeep, this phone is unadorned, basic and built to last forever. The dual-antennas really live a stop in weak signals, the call volume is crisp, clear and HUGE, the speakerphone very stands out as useful, clear and loud as hell. It's small enough to tuck into a pocket or in a prone belt case as I have, to keep it out of the way when I'm working.
The beauty of this tool is that it's simple, tatty and useful. It makes phone calls, and that's it. No muzac, movies, internet, texting, pictures and all the other miscellaneous crap that kids like these days. It makes phone calls, interval. If you want a toy, buy something else.
Very few people appreciate simple, useful tools like this anymore. Cease to remember about impressing anyone with this particular communication tool. I leave it on 24/7 and wad it in every few days. Plenty of battery power, but I do carry a charger in the employment truck just in case. I do recommend a slim horizonal instance to keep it out of the way. The alarm clock works great and will get you up before the rooster. Ringtones are fruitful and basic, just the way I like it. I have 3 new F3's in the closet. These were discontinued in 2006. Get one while you still can.
Fine replacement/transition/back-up phone
Objective what was needed when I lost a phone. It is easy to set up if you have a little time. But not so moderate for the less technically inclined. It's a little cluncky and not intuitive for those that want everything to line exactly like the phone they were used to. But for the price, a good phone to have in the drawer and chew out tattle on the kids not to loose their phone or they'll have to use this one.
it's a toy
it's a cast aside, it did not work with my sim card at all, people please don't purchase this phone, you will lose your times, scratch.

DON"T BUY IT
I have bough Motorola F3 UNLOCKED as per hype.
I received the phone and try to use it but it is still blocked. PIN of my SIM card is recognized (I even can see some contacts communication from my SIM) however I CAN'T do or receive any call.
Item will be returned expecting money refund since Phone doesn't employment as promised / expected.
not recommended .....
this phone came wid a mount that did not belong to the phone .......
n when i was assured by the seller that on return i wud be refunded the amount ........ im still waiting for the refund .......
Primary Phone
Very root phone, if you want a good looking phone with little to no options buy this one.
Tough "Bare-Bones" Phone
Phone can offset and receive calls as advertised. Ask for more than that from this phone and you'll be disappointed.
After my previous phone was stolen, I saw my cousin had the F3 and obvious to give it a try. For $24.99, what's the worst that could happen?
Two months later I am still using the F3. Phonebook, call log and entering texts are primitive, but work. I get an error message every time I send a passage (Also read here you couldn't use the phonebook to look the recipient's number up)... looks like it is ease to read the manual! Many people complained they had to set the clock often; mine is automatically sync'ed off the room towers which was a pleasant surprise.
I wasn't expecting much from this phone which purposes explains my 4-star rating. Only real complaint is the audio rank is not on par with my previous phones. The F3 does not do well in loud environments: the microphone seems to pick up a lot of horizon noise.
Would make a good backup, say for an iphone, in situations where impair or theft is likely.

couldn't quashThis memo is sitting on my desk unopened - I tried to cancel this item about 5 minutes after I placed the ordain and was refused
I even sent an email to the shipper and told them not to ship - they said it shipped already
BS - It was reputed to arrive on Wednesday, I didn't get it until Thursday - so I guess it didn't vessel when they said
don't buy it if...
Don't buy this unless you lack the very basics in a phone. It works, but you get what you pay for. I wish I had spent an additional $20 dollars and purchased a phone that had a raise interface and text messaging and address book that wasn't sub par. It was only a cut down to size holder for a few weeks until the phone I really wanted was released. However, it was conscientious. Unlike other reviewers, the reception/ or clarity of calls was also a negative for me.
Marked inexpensive phone for any network
This phone is through for me. I tend to loose/destroy phones and at twenty bucks, it's not a heart wave when I have to buy a replacement. All I use my phone for is talking so the lack of photos, video and internet is not a perturb. I rarely have any signal issues with this phone, it's super light and laconic, the speaker function works great, and the display is easily decipher in all lighting conditions. Also, if you are planning on switching to a new provider this phone can spectacle a list of networks within range. So you know what providers you can get both at home and at employment. The only thing keeping me from giving this phone a 5 star review is the ineptitude to store multiple numbers under one contact. You have to create a contact name for every phone access. Also, when I do get a rare text message, very few characters are displayed on the screen at once. There's a very practical wikipedia entry for all of the phone's features. [...].
Essential phone
Key phone that is good for a fill in when primary phone is not available. Calls only, no texting.
Texting Next to Unachievable
I purchased this phone as a stand-by fix after my phone broke and I had limited funds to purchase a new phone. It is barely satisfactory to make or receive calls and you can text but it is ridiculously difficult since only one huddle appears on the screen at a time. It is a decent temporary backup. Cannot use with bluetooth either. I have since purchased another phone and will manage lecture on onto this one for emergencies. Basically a $20 cellphone is what you get...better than nothing.
