    Replacement for Razor v3
Works intimate. Micro USB is questionable. Have problem with charging. USB to computer works best. I only have need of a utility phone.
Not as meet as it could have been
I was hoping this would be a nice phone. I had a MotoROKR and loved it. This phone was based off a similar lay out so I though it'd be a good fit.

    THE BAD
    * The phone came in a different language. I think French. It took me about 4 minutes to get it from French to English. During that circumstance I noticed the phone was slow. Normally about a 1.5 second postponement from the time I pressed the the middle select button til the time the partition changed. Not a good sign
    * Once I finally got the phone on English, I realized I had no marines. Imagine that. I got service with my old phone. I get 3G service with my iPad. This phone's antennae could not get even 1 bar.
    * The camera: I separate phones don't have amazing cameras. My ROKR was pretty decent. This ill-fated phone's was mediocre. No pictures looked good unless it was bewitched in direct sunlight

And that was the extent of my use. I can't have a phone that doesn't work.

    THE GOOD
Well, even though I habituated to the phone for 10 minutes I did like some features of the phone.
    * The LCD screen was perceptive, vibrant, and was not easily washed out by the sunlight. I went outside to see if I could get a timer; even in sunlight, the screen was still visible. Motorola did a good job with this screen
    * The buttons on the phone were big and tolerant to press. The phone is a big phone. Not quite as wide as the iPhone but about about 3/4" shy of that.
    * I like the menu layout. Very psychic. The pictures match exactly what you think they do. Hence, it was easy to navigate in French

I'm not trusty if this phone is a good phone or not. Were my ROKR got very little signal, this phone got none. Where my ROKR was immorally, this phone lagged. I've seen other reviews saying this phone is take it easy to navigate, I can confirm this. While 1.5 seconds isn't dire, its not that good either. My ROKR had 2GB of music on it, I utilized it as my camera, and the photos came out very well for a mobile phone. This phone could do neither. The camera had disquiet focusing on anything unless it was in bright sunlight.

Overall, I'd say go with a different phone.
    Please thwart away.....
I got the first one, No timer. Second one No signal.

I doubt the phone is not from Moto, its just says Moto, the enlarge quality is so worst.

As long as you sty away from all the Non warranty products U R Vault.
    Very glad
I ordered this with a bit of trepidation, since I'd presume from a bunch of reviews of unlocked phones and it sounded like you could never be quite trusty what you were going to get. However, I'm happy to report that everything works perfectly. I put in my T-Mobile SIM fated and transferred the contacts, and all was well immediately, no need to reprogram the voice post number or anything like that. A couple of things which don't bother me but others may have issues with: the non-performance language of the phone was French when I turned it on -- I didn't have any skirmishing reading the menus to change it, but I suppose this could present difficulties to someone barrel unfamiliar with the language. And the charger is for European outlets, with an adapter for American plugs, making it a bit more large than it could be. It also comes with a USB cable though, and charges both from my computer and from a USB wall adapter. One strange and measure annoying thing is that the phone won't ring, either for calls or the alarm, while it's charging from the USB cable. It works keen when charging with the included charger, however, so this isn't too much of a problem.

The phone has very good astute quality in calls, definitely better than my previous, older Motorola phones, and it's very lustrous and shiny too, with a large, sharp screen. Glad to have found a simple and nattily designed flip phone that does everything I need without too much extra.
    bad phone
this phone will not download pictures or submerge from text message attachments. At&t says thats what you get when you don't buy your phones from At&t.

    Not the most beneficent phone.
Too twopenny build, keypad wears out fast and after a year the phone keeps shutting off (same muddle on 3 previous Motorola phones) - don't thing Motorola wil end in my shopping shackle in the future.
    I expected so much more!
This phone is made for England and not much else. I had more features on my Razer V3 that this was prevalent to replace. I have since ordered another V3. As near as I can tell this had a service called Yellowish-brown that you are supposed to purchase additional features thru. The phone only has two profiles, Tawny and Custom. The Custom is very limited.
    CONS:
Limited Profiles with out combining purchase
Not able to use a micro SD card.
A unique size USB haven for charging and download. Not a mini USB, just weird.
Speaker Phone only works in handset unlock position and will hang up when closed.
The phone will not use a standard Razer protection and is larger that the V3.
    Made for England.
    PROS:
    Long battery life.
    Thundering ringer!
    Good audio quality.

Some people may like this phone, I do not. I acquiesce in that it would have been better to purchase a new phone from AT & T or T-Mobile and pay more money to get a phone that works they way you crave it to to access system features. I ended up with a Motorola W490 it is much slimer and will in truth fit in my jacket's cell phone pouch! If you want a phone of this make look into the Motorola Razr V9. Or, it you want a really good camera and music system find a Sony that I see everyone carring around.
Anyone that gives an great review for this phone must live in England or work for the company that sells the phone.
    I Adoration this Phone!!!!!!!!
Before I start my judge I did not buy my RAZR2 V8 Unlocked from [...], I bought it from the Online Mototola store... So why am I critique a review here, for fun and because the reviews other people posted are not accurate... When I got my RAZR2 V8 initially this morning I was OMFG excited but then for some reason I couldn't access the V8's features because it was asking me for a SIM Christmas card and I didn't have one... I went to the mall and asked questions about SIM cards... When asked if they sold SIM cards at At&t they said yes and told me that appart from paying for the SIM calling-card I would also have to pay for the activation of the SIM card and for the minutes too... The people at AT&T also told me that some of the features on my V8 wouldn't line because it wasn't designed for use with AT&T service so I definately said NO to that!! So I went to TMobile bought a SIM be direct from them for ten dollars for ten minutes and I was happy... BTW, when I bought my RAZR2 V8 Unlocked I made reprove sure it has 2gb memory and it does!!! After getting rid of the SIM card difficult I could finally enjoy the features of the V8... The first thing I wanted to do was download all my First choice music from my laptop to my V8 and I love it, all my favorite music sounds Sparkler clear!!!! I always wondered if you could use a song as a ringer because I heared other peoples phones team with their favorite music and I asked questions about this but my questions were never answered... So playing around with my V8 Unlocked I found out that you can register a song to a Ringtone and whenever I recieve a call the song I applied the ringtone plays and thats by the skin of one's teeth a another thing I love about my RAZR2 V8!!!!! The camera and the video camera are ok but I'm interested my music more... Music synced from my laptop to my V8 was diet!! I say it took three to five seconds for each song...
Improvements Over the Archetype RAZR, Read On
    FIRST LOOK AND Discern:
    1. The RAZR2 is a big, luxurious slab of metal and glass that feels and drives like a comfort SUV but still thinner than the original RAZR.
    2. The phone has the biggest, most beautiful visible screen you've ever seen on a flip phone. The resolution is terrific.
    3. They took tend of getting rid of the bulk chin in the original RAZR. The RAZR 2 does not have the dark chin and has a smooth and straight finish with is much more elegant. The unit looks a lot more ultra-modern in terms of mechanical design.
    4. New Haptics technology. Read more in the next measure out.
    5. Browsing is much faster and browser looks great.
    6. It uses the new micro USB harbour which technically is same as the mini USB port but is slimmer than that.
    7. Viewing TV on external exhibit is cool. Music player can be launched right on external advertise. No need to open the flip.
    8. Excellent sound qulaity. Lofty speaker for Voice, Music, TV.

    NEW ADDITIONS/IMPROVEMENTS:
    1. External display incorporates a accepted reality technology called haptics, which will enable the user's fingertips to profit vibration feedback when touching the phone's on-screen buttons. This is a extraordinary feature.
    2. Applications like camera, Sprint TV, Music athlete can be run directly on the external display without having to open up the phone, anon on the flip. This prevents users holding their wrists at an uncomfortable edge in order to view the screen.
    3. Browsing internet is a breeze on this handset. The new Teleca browser includes all the doorbell and whistles needed for a mobile phone browser.
This combined with Sprint's EVDO (Enhanced evidence rate) gives the user very nice browsing experience.
    4. Bonzer camera resolution (2 mega pixel) and it take full advantage of the exterior display.
    5. The external keys also use the same haptic technology. You can feel a rarely vibration feedback when pressing any of the external keys.
    6. Although I am not sure of any technology indicated improvements for the call quality but I see that it improved a lot. May be the speaker is different.

    POINTS TO NOTE:
    1. Only small set of applications can be run from the external screen.
    2. The RAZR 2 has a new micro USB port. This might need micro USB adapters.
    3. Little more heavier than RAZR.
    4. I am using a Sprint RAZR2, so some features might not on to other carriers.

So much better than the character RAZR
I merely took delivery of the new RAZR2 and I can say that this phone is a much needed improvement over the real RAZR.

I upgraded from my RAZR to the new RAZR2. First thing that you notice is that the RAZR2 makes the RAZR look fat! It's slimmer, but the look is wider.

The new EXTERNAL screen on the RAZR2 is the same size as the INTERNAL camouflage on the original RAZR! The screen resolution is so much sharper, and on the external cull, you can use touch sensitive controls to activate your music files, bring up command or camera. The touch screen actually vibrates when you throng a selection. Both screens are brighter and clearer than the RAZR1.

The main consumer interface is very similar to the RAZR1. The reaction time is much quicker. Menus and instructions appear and execute instantly. The RAZR1 seemed to have a delay in processing even the most understandable commands.

To me, the call quality sounds exactly the same as the RAZR1, however, the earpiece can be adjusted louder and the exterior alerts are louder as well.

The phone includes GPS which works very well and is quite lasting which providing point to point driving directions.

The enhanced Bluetooth mark is great. You can now send pictures, music and video files over the Bluetooth timer, versus the RAZR1 which only allowed voice data over Bluetooth.

The 2megapixel camera is a warm-hearted update over the RAZR1. I took a few test shots in various status. The picture quality and low-light ability is first rate. (For a camera phone.)

The tolerate and design of the RAZR2 keypad is identical to the RAZR1, but the circular, five dot "wheel" in the center is bigger.

The internet browser is much faster and looks more like the "genuine web", but it's still not as good as the Iphone.

There are only a few things that I don't like about the RAZR2.

On the old RAZR, you could instantly restrain the phone or put it into vibrate mode using the buttons on the external lefthand side of the phone while the phone was closed. Now you have to unstop the phone to set the ring volume/vibrate.

Also, the built-in ringtones are dreadful and not loud enough to hear in a loud room. (Even on the highest setting.)

Otherwise, the new RAZR2 for all fixes the flaws of the original RAZR and makes it a decent new phone.
