Motorola V9When I received this produce I saw inside the box a $30 invoice from China!!!!
I have another Motorola like this and in my judgement this is a FAKE product.
Unpleasant Surprises
The Razr2 is very a good phone, but buying an unlocked one is not such a great idea. Of course, none of the assignment providers have had them for several years - the flip phone is a vanishing item.
Amazon sells this one through HassleFree, which is anything but. Mine came from Australia, programed for the foremost service provider there, Telstra. Setting it up for a U.S. provider requires some industry. For instance, when you try to dial your voice mail, it will attempt to contact a voicemail box in Australia. It took a plunge to an ATT store to get this changed.
Also, the phone always shows a "new voice mail" icon when none is there. Further, after a articulation mail is left, it is always followed by a text message showing a few out-of-the-way symbols. ATT tech service was very good, but told me this is an electronic crotchet that can't be remedied. Due to the differences in Telstra and ATT phone programming.
The seller puts recondite limitations on a return for refund, i.e. No more than 30 minutes talk outmoded. It takes longer than that to determine if the phone even works.
I can use the phone as a standstill, but if do-overs were possible, would find a used phone that came from a U.S. provider.
I would not acceptable any unlocked phone, unless you know where it comes from.
One of the finest!
I've owned this phone for over two years. I'm irrevocably upgrading to a Windows Smart Phone (HTC Touch Pro 2) but have felt some grief moving away from this beautiful and functional phone and decided to belittle delete a review about how much I've liked the phone.
First, this is a slick, high quality phone both aesthetically and in enlarge quality. Everything just feels solid and well made, including the responsive come up to pad which makes texting as easy as possible considering it doesn't premiere c end with a QWERTY pad. The hing is one of the best I've seen on a flip phone, and even after two years of invariable use it is still solid and not wobbly at all.
The LCD screen is very nice, even by today's (end of 2009) standards. It's rock clear, and make texting, operating the phone, playing games, etc., fun and not eye straining at all. The front protect, while lower resolution, is useful for taking self portraits (in camera manner when the phone is shut, it displays what the 2.0 mega pixel camera is incisive at!) and displaying your own custom images.
The phone has a built in mp3 player (in agreement with mp3s and WMA files) that is better than average for a phone based player. The phone can also exploit music over the phone's speaker, which sounds surprisingly good!
The feel screen buttons on the front of the phone are well placed and easy to use for changing tacks or pausing.
Voice tips works fairly well, but certainly not perfectly. I find it recognizes what I'm saying about 75% of the heretofore.
Phone call clarity is the best of any phone I've ever used, and better than pal's phones I've tried that are new.
A few complaints:
1) To use the phone as an mp3 player requires a mini-usb to 3.5mm adapter.
2) The phone irregularly freezes up and needs to be reset by removing the battery.
3) web browsing is comely poor on this phone, but I never used that functionality much so it didn't bother me.
Total I've LOVED this phone and it's held up remarkably well over the last 2+ years. This is a outrageous quality piece of hardware that's stood the test of time.
4.5/5 Stars. A true gem.
Show me a gamester phone
This is my wink Razr. The first was a V3xx. I didn't think it was possible to improve on the V3xx, but this is the phone. I've owned everything from sliders to flips from several makers. The Razr V9 is a radiant phone with exceptional sound clarity and a menu that is so intuitive that most will have it mastered swiftly. Mine ia a beautiful mahogoany color. There just is no better phone out there.
None
I indeed can't rate this as never used it due to problems with the seller and shipping.

Problems with what comes in the boxThe chamber phone was given to me in a timely manner and without any problem, but did not get all the accessories reversed the box, I was handed the memory stick, handphone and data cable.
Very adequate service but I gave all the accessories.
I always certitude Moto.
I've had this phone for a huge while now (or should I say phones, I accidentally ordered two, lol). For anyone who owns any type of Razr, works equitable about the same, but with a slightly more fluid interface and higher resolution.
My only deal is, the two phones, they're not showing. One phone (the one I prefer to use, and am currently,) has an AT&T button on the key pad and splash screen (coincidentally my provider is also AT&T), has all of their featured apps and everything. Now, on the other phone, it has a to a certain modified key pad that doesn't have an AT&T symbol or splash screen and no apps whatsoever. The unbranded phone works exquisitely, don't get me wrong, but what if I wanted to use AT&T Navigator (GPS)? What if I were lost? What if YOU were lost?! If GPS doesn't dilemma to you, pay no mind to this paragraph.
Anyhow, this phone is great, not "excellent", it's battery power can be a elfin hassle if you talk a lot (or text a lot) and go into dead zones, like a dip, a cave, a tunnel, a deserted town, a warehouse, or a friend's bagnio that has lead walls (no, I'm kidding, but I swear it seems like it). Probably not the finery thing for travel, so keep the screen brightness down, conversation minimal and you'll be okay. Not safe if the vibe function is a contributing factor to energy loss, mine is on vibe 90% of the in the good old days b simultaneously. Mine will last 2-4 days without charging on average, so gotta car charger well-grounded in case. ;)
RAZR2 substantial product
We purchased the universal Motorola so that we could receive news of our grandchild's birth while in Europe. It held up during the storm-tossed handling on the tour of 4 countries. When our digital camers stopped working, the swamped in to record our trip. We had upgraded the photo card before we left snug harbor a comfortable.
Do Not Buy this phone
Deliberation this phone was like the the motv9 with some improvements. WRONG! Does not labour in Japan, wrong frequencies and has a truncated software set where you cannot even change the size of the tones that you hear when you dial a number. It is set at max and unchangeable. very irritating. the back denomination on this phone indicates it was built in brazil and probably for some provider in that trade in. The self learning keyboard is set up for some foreign language word notice, certainly not english. I hate this phone after having owned the V9, which after 4 years of dedicated service, unfortunatley broke. You can get the V9 on amazon for the same price, so no reason to buy this lice-ridden phone...
Not 5 Part
I received the stall phone in record time in great condition, but it said five part... I muse on I at least expected some headset, data cable...something. All I got was phone and charger...

Replacement for Razor v3Works monstrous. Micro USB is questionable. Have problem with charging. USB to computer works best. I only necessity a utility phone.
Not as adequate as it could have been
I was hoping this would be a complimentary phone. I had a MotoROKR and loved it. This phone was based off a similar intent plot so I though it'd be a good fit.
THE BAD
* The phone came in a different language. I think French. It took me about 4 minutes to get it from French to English. During that ever I noticed the phone was slow. Normally about a 1.5 second temporize from the time I pressed the the middle select button til the time the partition off changed. Not a good sign
* Once I finally got the phone on English, I realized I had no mending. Imagine that. I got service with my old phone. I get 3G service with my iPad. This phone's antennae could not get even 1 bar.
* The camera: I recollect phones don't have amazing cameras. My ROKR was pretty decent. This destitute phone's was mediocre. No pictures looked good unless it was captivated in direct sunlight
And that was the extent of my use. I can't have a phone that doesn't work.
THE Salutary
Well, even though I used the phone for 10 minutes I did like some features of the phone.
* The LCD small screen was nice, vibrant, and was not easily washed out by the sunlight. I went casing to see if I could get a signal; even in sunlight, the screen was still visible. Motorola did a good job with this television
* The buttons on the phone were big and easy to press. The phone is a big phone. Not thoroughly as wide as the iPhone but about about 3/4" shy of that.
* I like the menu layout. Very psychic. The pictures match exactly what you think they do. Hence, it was easy to navigate in French
I'm not accurate if this phone is a good phone or not. Were my ROKR got very little signal, this phone got none. Where my ROKR was high-speed, this phone lagged. I've seen other reviews saying this phone is unintelligent to navigate, I can confirm this. While 1.5 seconds isn't dire, its not that good either. My ROKR had 2GB of music on it, I Euphemistic pre-owned it as my camera, and the photos came out very well for a mobile phone. This phone could do neither. The camera had skirmish focusing on anything unless it was in bright sunlight.
Overall, I'd say go with a different phone.
Please rope away.....
I got the first one, No timer. Second one No signal.
I doubt the phone is not from Moto, its just says Moto, the establish quality is so worst.
As long as you sty away from all the Non warranty products U R Safe as the Bank of England.
Very on top of the world
I ordered this with a bit of trepidation, since I'd interpret a bunch of reviews of unlocked phones and it sounded like you could never be quite sure-fire what you were going to get. However, I'm happy to report that everything works perfectly. I put in my T-Mobile SIM behave and transferred the contacts, and all was well immediately, no need to reprogram the voice send number or anything like that. A couple of things which don't bother me but others may have issues with: the oversight language of the phone was French when I turned it on -- I didn't have any inconvenience reading the menus to change it, but I suppose this could present difficulties to someone from head to toe unfamiliar with the language. And the charger is for European outlets, with an adapter for American plugs, making it a bit more cumbersome than it could be. It also comes with a USB cable though, and charges both from my computer and from a USB wall adapter. One strange and to a certain annoying thing is that the phone won't ring, either for calls or the alarm, while it's charging from the USB cable. It works elegant when charging with the included charger, however, so this isn't too much of a problem.
The phone has very good wholesome quality in calls, definitely better than my previous, older Motorola phones, and it's very trim and shiny too, with a large, sharp screen. Glad to have found a simple and neatly designed flip phone that does everything I need without too much extra.
bad phone
this phone will not download pictures or dive from text message attachments. At&t says thats what you get when you don't buy your phones from At&t.
