    Brutal reception
Social for this phone is terrible. Will not work in my home or at work. My 4 year old motorola KRZR worked lofty in these locations. Thankfully Amazon allowed me to return this phone for a full refund. Purchased this phone based on weighty ratings from previous reviews. But in my area phone is useless.
    Fabulous
This phone is a true powerhouse. if any one is looking for a phone i would reccomend this phone because it can do everything you want it to do and i be acquainted with this because i've had this phone for three months now!
    Superlative Phone, Possibly Indestructible
I make that the Motorola SLVR L7 is a bit low-tech compared with most moderrn phones, but I still find myself going back to this phone again and again. I'm not a ungainly guy, but I do drop my phone on occaision - my SLVR has been dropped innumeral times but it still does not show up to be damaged and functions fine. Secondly the battery life is extraordinary, sometimes lasting in excess of a week. Cons - no querty keyboard, scanty camera, no 3G, not really any high tech features. This phone is for residents who want a phone that functions well as a phone and nothing else.
Yard goods phone; just don't use it for text messaging unless you're fluent in Spanish.
This is a obedient phone in terms of how reliable it is. Minimum of bells and whistles, jam-packed construction and good reception. The thing about it that earned the 2 stars is that the predictive paragraph system is so stupid it qualifies for its own DSM V diagnostic rating. Firstly, it's in Spanish. This is chilly as the States has a large Spanish-speaking population. What's extremely *not* distant about it is that the Product Description fails to tell the buyer this. Also, the thing I liked about my preceding phone was that I could teach the predictive text function just by adding new words to the fitting spelling definitions, a must for anyone with a large vocabulary. Sadly, this phone does not take on the English spellings I repeatedly put into it.

So if you're a Spanish speaker and you're looking for a OK champion phone, this is the thing for you. If not, then go elsewhere.
    Significant little travel phone
I bought this phone to take with me on trips to Europe as I use a CDMA phone in the states. The phone came with a sim postal card from Mobal.com and after charging it up and activating the sim card, it just worked. I was gifted to text and call with no problem in Belgium and the Netherlands. It's a somewhat basic phone, but that's all I wanted. I was impressed with some of the astute typing as well. Not have a full keyboard means typing is slower, but the phone is pulchritudinous smart about figuring out what you are trying to write.

    Sound replacement for emergency
Honourableness emergency replacement phone. Easy to setup for different vernacular use. Did the job. NOT TEXT FRIENDLY
    Fervour my F3!
My little woman and I both got these F3 phones, and we love them. They are everything we ever wanted in a phone - voice calls and minimal texting with awesome durability and battery life.

Note that we did NOT buy these phones from Amazon - we found them cheaper elsewhere ($15 each increased by shipping), so we did not have any of the issues many have reported in the 1-star reviews. Make established you buy from a reputable source.

The phone has lots of quirky limitations, and you have to be ingenious to use an address book that can only display six text characters at a time, specifically if you are using a SIM card from a more advanced phone.

My only complaint is that I couldn't trust in out a way to edit existing address book entries. The only thing you can do is strike out an entry and create a new one, which is a pain if you want to edit lots of contacts. I had to reduce them on my old phone to be six-character-friendly, then move the SIM card to my F3. This is the only reason I didn't give the phone 5 stars.

Total I'm just so delighted to have the cheapest and simplest new phone possible. I'm not paying for a camera, mp3 speculator, web browser, fancy screen, or video player, and I plan to push the "free" phones we got from T-Mobile to someone who actually wants those features.
Underlying phone, looks good, not for txt'ing
I like the slim hugeness and shape of this phone and it has been durable. It works well as a phone (sound trait, battery life). However, it has a very limited interface and some annoying aspects, such as beeping when you unexpectedly press it against things, which happens all the time. There appears to be no setting to trick off that feature or to lock the keypad. It does not store the number of missed calls reliably or intuitively. It's interface is otherwise rather intuitive, but also very limited. Can't beat it for this price if you need an unlocked GSM phone.
Through-and-through for those who just want a basic, no-frills cell phone.
I'm over 50, calling hard for an honest living, drive a Jeep Wrangler and I use the few remaining tools in life that simply WORK. The Motorola F3 is one of them. Like a Jeep, this phone is uncomplicated, basic and built to last forever. The dual-antennas really cull in weak signals, the call volume is crisp, clear and HUGE, the speakerphone in reality stands out as useful, clear and loud as hell. It's small enough to tuck into a away with or in a horizontal belt case as I have, to keep it out of the way when I'm working.

The beauty of this tool is that it's plain, cheap and useful. It makes phone calls, and that's it. No muzac, pictures, internet, texting, pictures and all the other assorted crap that kids like these generation. It makes phone calls, period. If you want a toy, buy something else.

Very few people find worthwhile simple, useful tools like this anymore. Forget about impressing anyone with this picky detail communication tool. I leave it on 24/7 and plug it in every few days. Copiousness of battery power, but I do carry a charger in the work truck exactly in case. I do recommend a slim horizonal case to keep it out of the way. The alarm clock works extensive and will get you up before the rooster. Ringtones are useful and basic, just the way I like it. I have 3 new F3's in the stand. These were discontinued in 2006. Get one while you still can.

    Kind replacement/transition/back-up phone
Good what was needed when I lost a phone. It is easy to set up if you have a little time. But not so easy for the less technically tilting. It's a little cluncky and not intuitive for those that want everything to work exactly like the phone they were against to. But for the price, a good phone to have in the drawer and tell the kids not to unchained their phone or they'll have to use this one.
