Steadfast, powerful phoneI have owned this phone for a span of years now. Bought it off the Nokia website before it was readily available here. This replaced a well tolerant of 6200. This phone is very nearly bullet proof! I have dropped it (time after time - though not on purpose) I am a believer in simplicity, no flips, no sliders, in-short not many effective parts. The E51 has great call quality, a very functional wifi feature and browser, and a very accomplished music playback sound (when paired with a good bluetooth headset or even with the wired headset that come with the phone. I don't use it much for data apps (because At&t's pricing)unless I have a wifi timer. As other reviews have mentioned, it does get fairly warm with extended use, but I large have it in a holster and use a bluetooth earpiece, so it isn't a factor for me.
All in all, I think it's a great phone, even though it doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard. After all it is a PHONE.
Bad undertaking
A capacious cellphone BUT.... The problem relies on Nokia warranty. In sub-dev countries, like Brazil (unfortunately
it`s my rural area :( ) warrant does not work. Mine worked just 5 months and died. I sent twice to Nokia Tech Rite, but Nokia returns with a "Lost Warranty" due to humidity exposure. But I spend in a tropical country, humidity is usual (Nokia Consumer Assistance absurdly told me not to use the cell phone at kitchen!!!!!) . Bad exempli gratia from Nokia. If you need a reliable cell phone, try BlackBerry, or Samsung.
Attractive and small
This goods is for the ones that are not used to a PDA where you have to write with very little buttons and that same time it has all the features of a PDA phone.
Very Pleased as Punch
Exacty what I expected and wanted! I am very picky when it comes to chamber phones... I don't want flip phones, I don't like full keyboard phones and I wanted a cookie-cutter and compact phone with business applications and tools. For decades I am a convinced and on top of the world Nokia user - It just never dissapoints when you know what you want!
Excelent phone
Who likes to be unadorned and slick, this phone is for you. I had 3 and i keep buying the same over and over again. 1st one was swimming in the pool with me, worked for few period after then died, 2nd phone has similar water damage so half of the keyboard was not working and third was vanished. If you like candy-bar phones this is the only way to go. Battery life is good not like the Nokia Music phone or even blackberry 8830. High point rich (pdf, docs, excel, games, etc), has wi-fi, plus its Symbian and thats all i have to say about event. Great value for the price.
