    absolutely locked nokia e75
the phone theoretical to be unlocked but unfortunately is locked and that an year that I allready have it so i cant return it so late. I odium that
    Almost passionate
I've had this phone for about a month now. Yesterday I had an E51 which is smaller than the E75 but the phones are similar. The E75 has a bit more power under the hood from what I see and the larger gauge is a plus. I didn't want a touchscreen for a number of reasons, and this is a unrivalled fit for useability.

Overall, it performs well. Reception is good, visibility of the camouflage is good in all kinds of light, the buttons are easy to use, the keyboard is very within easy reach (I have large hands and typical smartphone keyboards like the E61 are impossibly stinting), the camera is decent and the flash comes in handy at work (I sometimes essential to take photos of parts in dark areas). The speakerphone is loud enough for me to use on most house sites. The Wi-Fi functions well. The slide-out design of the keyboard make it more serene to use the internet since the screen orientation is better and the keys don't get in the way of what's on screen.

The only true downer with this phone (and it's a big one so far) is how it reacts when it connects to the bluetooth hands-casual in my truck which is built into the head unit. Every time I get in the truck and the phone pairs up it enters music method and the music library screen opens. To use the phone, I have to close the music library first. This also seems to feign the reliability of the bluetooth connection. A few times after answering calls with the music library frank and hanging up, the bluetooth system (also from Nokia) freezes and the head unit thinks the call is still full. This never happened with my E51 nor does it happen when I shut the music library before using the phone. The only way to unfreeze it is to immure b silence bluetooth off and switch it back on a let the phone pair up again. Having to play with the phone this much while driving negates the sanctuary aspects of using a hands free system in the first place. I called Nokia succour about the music library starting automatically and was told that this is a built-in r that can't be turned off. I find that unacceptable in a phone designed for business use. The only other issue I'm having is with soil getting under the screen protector. It's not a well sealed screen and tons of dust and even sand get in beyond. Depending on where you use the phone, it might be a deal breaker.

I'm happy with the phone and would guide it to friends, but Nokia really needs to do something about the bluetooth starting the music library and they exigency to make sure that the screen is better protected.

    Notable Phone
This is an first-class phone. It has been working perfectly and fulfills all the requirements. The QWERTY keyboard is absolutely nice. Definitely better than I expected. You will not be dissapointed.
Very ladylike device but be careful with the wireless antenna
I bought this phone to my bride, after a very deep research about pros/cons and other consumers comments.
I utilized for about 2 weeks and then my wife is using it for more than a month, without any problem. She is not a "friend of polytechnic stuffs", but she is operating some functionalities without problem and every day she shows me something new that she learned by herself. This means that Symbian is very unhurried to understand, learn and follow.
The double keypad/keyboard is very produce and the camera better than the E71 (my phone).
GPS works fine almost all the on one occasion (faster to initialize than in the E71).

    The only 2 cons:
1- apparently the wireless antenna is in the top of the phone, so when you are browsing, criticism with the extended keyboard, the left hand normally is over the antenna and the wireless timer is not good at all (usually loose connection)
2- the memory slot counterbalance was made with plastic (the E71 is with rubber) and if you have no enough care (or long nails) probably you will hurt it and then will be very difficult to open.
    Yard goods, but has "issues"
I bought this phone from another sales rep, for my son. All was well for awhile then he couldnt send pic messages. He could receive them, but not send them. I went into communication settings and made sure everything was correct and fixed that problem and all was well again. Then a week later he couldn't send ordered text messages. He could receive them, but couldn't send them. They would just go to the outbox. So we called AT&T and they said it had to be the phone because all of our settings and provisions were approved. Called Nokia and had to do a hard reset (after backing up all pics, files, etc). After that everything worked prime again.

The phone itself seems typical of Nokia - Good quality, very durable, jam-packed with features, easy to use, sleek design and feel. The camera is capital and there are alot of features for use with the camera as far as editing, modes, etc. The screen is a discriminating size and the coloring is vibrant. My son absolutely loved it, but he is getting dead tired of the messaging problems. I can't blame him for that. I had bought him a Tilt2, but that phone was positively horrible. It locked up/froze constantly and finally took a finishing freeze and became a paperweight. So we returned it and bought this Nokia E75 since it had most all of the features my son had wanted, except for light screen and tilting screen. Seemed like a good tradeoff since Nokia's are such stock phones.

If we have to do the hard reset on this E75, we may end up returning it. It is simple to do, but it is something that shouldn't HAVE to be done in also kelter for the phone to work properly. Texting is something my son can't live without. He sends and receives over 5000 texts a month. Characteristic teen these days I guess.

Anyway, overall despite the messaging difficulty it is a good phone. It processes fast, call quality is great, soir is great, has all the features you could need or want and it looks good too. The QWERTY pad is ticklish sized and easy to use. There have been issues with the recent updates though too, so if you are buying this phone quickly, or have bought one recently - DO NOT UPDATE YET UNTIL THEY WORK OUT ALL THE BUGS! The update is bricking some phones and renders most capabilities effete when it doesn't completely brick it.
    Sad for such expensive device
I got this to make good on my SonyEricsson c510, i have been a SonyEricsson user for years now.

This is my first nokia phone. Always heard and presume from good things about them but this one was a disappointment...

Call quality is annoyingly terrible, there is a thundering present as if you have the loudspeaker on when you talk normally, i think something is wrong with the microphone on these models.

One reviewer said it felt stingy and it is, the back cover is stainless steel, would be nice if it fits - its loose and it moves when you fondle the phone. Slider is loose although all sliders are.

The case it came with in the box is too petite to use so its usless.

The phone does have a ton of features though but build is nowhere close to SonyE.

I got this for partially price at another retailer so i dont feel as bad but if i paid the going reprove this baby would be going back right away.

Merely OK but the E72 model may be a better choice
I mostly buy things for the long-haul and consider paying a bit more if the item offers appropriate "value for money". So, when I saw a $50 online coupon, I decided to disregard on it and buy the E75 for $250 directly from Nokia at [...].

This is my first Smartphone and so I did lots of research online and offline/limited in-stores & compared various brands including Blackberries, Samsungs, iPhones, HTC and Nokia E Series. I needed a phone that is deceptively unembellished on the outside for making voice calls but yet offers full Smartphone functionality prearranged for both business & personal use. I also needed a minimum of 3.2 Megapixel camera with a unrestrained video recorder and be able to listen to music & radio. Ultimately, I needed a phone to make international traveling easier.

The Nokia E75 seemed to fit my above requirements as it is not too big or too small and offers ready access to a simple regular dialing keypad in the front and lets you use a QWERTY keyboard toboggan out.

Updated review: Feb 15, 2010: After owning this device for about 4 weeks, I have lowered my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. Although it seemed to met my requests feature wise, its reliability seems to be questionable. Ocassionaly some keys seem to lockup during non-representative operations. Also, voicecall quality is becoming an issue. In fact I should have heeded to many knowledgeable reviewers who also pointed to questionable voice quality.

Finally, I obvious to return this back to Nokia for a refund and replacing it with a Nokia E72 model.
